Former Head of Chancery to Russia Bids Farewell to Ambassador Yongawo.

Rublovskoye Chausse, Moscow, Russia, Wednesday 28 October 2020_*-Former Head of Chancery to the Sierra Leone Embassy in Moscow, Russia Mr Lamina Vamboi has bid farewell to His Excellency Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Mohamed Yougawo after five years of diligent service to the Embassy.
“We are going to miss this diligent and committed young man, who is a master at putting ideas together to see that we strive to bring the glory we deserve as a nation with the international community”, Ambassador Yougawo said.
He added that Mr Vamboi will be missed by all including Diplomatic Staff and locals, especially when he has done so much and above all his human relationship was exceptional.
“The Ambassador continue, When I came to this country (Russia), there was absolutely nothing good to write home about especially my residence, which was in a bad shape including the Embassy; but today collectively, we’ve done an exceptional job by raising the standard of the office and transforming the minds of the Staff and the business community about our image as a nation”
Ambassador Yougawo ended by officially welcoming the Information Attaché Festus J Lahai to the Mission and urged him to represent Sierra Leone as well as a Diplomat. He called on him to work collaboratively with the new HOC and colleagues at the Embassy in marketing the New Direction Agenda of his His Excellency Dr Julius Maada Bio.
Mr Lamina Vamboi, while bidding farewell said, “I was sent here by the government to work in the interest of the people of Sierra Leone and to also help the Ambassador to succeed in whatever he believes will be of immense benefit to our people”
Prior to his posting in 2015 to serve as the head of Chancery at the Sierra Leone in Moscow, Mr Vamboi, served in various positions at the Foreign Ministry including State House.
“in his words, I am going back home, but Ambassador is rested assured that the man taking over as Head of Chancery is a brain and has served in various Directorate Positions. He had also served as Head of Chancery in Liberia and has wealth of knowledge and experience in the Foreign Service”.

He ended by calling on all staff of the Embassy to give the new HOC Mr Dennis E. Nicol their unflinching support in his capacity as their immediate Boss.
“I will always be of help to this mission, and my brother, I am always available for whatever assistance you may need from me”.
Mr Nicol, who has been posted as the Acting minister-counsellor, assured Ambassador Yongawo of continuation of service delivery; commitment to work and to uphold the high standards which the embassy has achieved over the years.
The new HOC concluded by assuring embassy staff, both Diplomatic and Local of a friendly relationship at all times.
Staff at the Embassy were in tears as they bid farewell to their former Boss, who handed over everything to Mr Nicol the new Head of Chancery in Moscow, Russia.
